Sonic 4 Episode 1 permanently discounted on XBL & PSN

We would like to share some good news with our loyal fans across the globe, from the 12th October 2011 Sonic 4: Episode 1 will be available to purchase for 800MSP on XBLA worldwide, and £6.29/€7.99/AU$12.95 on PSN in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

PSN North America will drop the price on 18th October.

I still think that originally pricing the game 1200 ms points was a lot to ask considering it didn’t live up to what made the classics great and the whole reason people wanted a Sonic 4 - the physics based gameplay!

Especially as it hardly does anything new for people who played the classics and was heavily advertised as episodic content which is usually priced at 800 ms points.

At 800 ms points (or the equivalent PSN price) I think it’s a far more attractive deal for a fun little Sonic game with lots of nostalgic references, so long as you treat it as a budget digital download title and don’t expect it to come close to the quality of the classics.

    Not worth it still

    No Wiiware discount?

I hope they discount the price of future releases of the game. I agree that 15 dollars was a lot to ask for.
