SEGA Releases Official Images Of Chemical Plant & Metal Sonic Boss Fight

SEGA released official Sonic Generations images of Chemical Plant as well as the Metal Sonic boss fight. You can check them all out over here and go get officially excited at what is simply an amazing looking HD rendition of Chemical Plant. It is also now abundantly clear that the Metal Sonic boss fight does in fact strongly reference Stardust Speedway.

We wasn’t sure before but now we can clearly see reckonisable elements in the official images such as the lamp posts, light beams and musical horns, which were all seen in the iconic stage from Sonic CD. I’d say it’s pretty obvious that you won’t be getting the full stage, rather just the boss fight and that it may somehow be integrated into the Chemical Plant area of the game. Still it’s nice reference for Sonic CD fans and let’s face it, we don’t need another full city stage.
